A badge says we ran a check on a date. It is not a guarantee about a person.
Verified Profile: we have checked the member's identity.
Address Confirmed: we have checked they live where they say.
Business Verified: we have checked the company and put its name on their shop.
Ask for a check from You → Verification. For a business we ask for the company name, the Companies House number, the VAT number if there is one, and one photo of a recent bill or bank statement for the business. That photo is stored privately, read only by you and our team, and deleted 90 days after the decision.
Never put identity numbers or photos of identity documents into a request note. If we need something, we will ask for it through a secure route and tell you how it is handled.
A badge is a statement about a check on a date, not a promise about a person or an item. Still see the item before you pay.
