The shield
A cobalt shield on a shop or a listing means the seller has passed a check. There are three: Verified Profile (identity confirmed from a document, reviewed by a person on the team), Address Confirmed (proof of address checked the same way) and Business Verified (a registered business with its details confirmed). A phone number is confirmed by code and shows as Phone Verified.
How a seller gets verified
From Profile, Trust & payments, Verification. The document is used to confirm the details and is not shown to anyone else. Checks are done by a person and can take a few days.
What it does not mean
A badge means we know who the seller is. It is not a guarantee of an item or a promise about a sale. Your protection on a purchase comes from paying in the app, where the money is held until the item arrives. See How payments work.
Checking a seller
Open their shop. You will see their Trade Rank, how many items they have sold, their rating, how quickly they reply and every review from a real purchase. A Trusted Trader badge means at least 25 sales, 10 reviews, a 4.7 rating and a verified identity.
Names and contact details
Members are known by a username. A seller's full name, address and phone number are shared only between the two sides of an agreed sale, and never shown on a profile, a listing or in a message.
