What Reloot is
Reloot (reloot.co.uk) is a general marketplace for the UK with protection built in from the first sale. Buyers pay in the app and the money is held until the item arrives. There is a 48-hour window to report a problem, and the team resolves it. In the buyer's favour that means a refund to the card they paid with, for the whole order or for part of it, and because the money has not left Reloot yet there is nothing for them to recover from the seller. Sellers keep 100% of the item price; the buyer pays a small protection fee that is shown before they pay. Delivery is collection, home delivery or an InPost locker, with labels bought in the app. Every seller has a Trade Rank from 1 to 50 that comes only from completed sales and verified-purchase reviews, and a Trusted Trader badge that cannot be bought. The Feed makes the marketplace social. Shops post new stock and updates, buyers post what they are looking for, and a ranking that learns what you browse shows each post to the people most likely to want it. Anti-spam runs in the database and ordinary members never notice it. Members are known by username; names and contact details only pass between the two sides of a sale.
Where it comes from
Reloot was started in 2026 in Blackburn, Lancashire, by one founder who wanted second-hand to stop meaning a stranger, cash and a car park. The money is held until the item is in your hands, and the seller still keeps every penny of the price.
