What the buyer fee is and what it pays for
70p, plus 5% of the first £250 and 3.5% of anything above it. Sellers pay nothing.
On a Buy it now listing the buyer pays a Reloot fee on top of the item price: 70p, plus 5% of the first £250, plus 3.5% of any part of the price above £250. The bands are marginal, so nothing jumps at £250.
A £20 item carries a fee of £1.70.
A £100 item, £5.70.
A £300 item, £14.95.
You see the exact figure before you pay. It shows as a breakdown at checkout, and as a smaller "all-in" line under the price wherever the listing appears. The seller keeps 100% of the price they listed at; Reloot takes nothing from their side.
The fee pays for holding the money until the item reaches you, and for the team that settles it when something goes wrong.
Vehicles, services and free items carry no buyer fee at all, because nothing goes through checkout.
